Building a custom home or starting a significant renovation project requires a tremendous amount of communication between the client, architect, designer and builder.
There are countless decisions to be made, which all have to be made in an appropriate timeframe to ensure project timing is met. In addition, clients need to know how decisions affect the budget.
We believe in an open and transparent process and therefore use a 24/7 accessible client portal to facilitate all communication throughout the process. Our clients have access to the budget, schedule, pending items requiring decisions (including dates by which decisions need to be made), progress photos, and all project files. FOUNDER ERIC J. OVERSTROM
Construction and design have been an integral part of Eric’s upbringing from a young age. Growing up in Laguna Beach and Coastal Orange County, Eric spent countless hours on job sites watching his Mother, a successful Interior Designer, at work. As he watched her passionately design and remodel stunning homes for her clients, it became evident that he shared the same eye for detail and spatial relationships as well as the ambition to create and build. Once he became a contractor, Eric collaborated on many kitchen and bath remodels with his Mother.
While Eric began with tile and stone, his true passion was always framing and later finish carpentry. During his time in Utah and Hawaii, Eric fine-tuned these trade skills on large commercial and residential new construction projects, further developing his passion for teamwork and quality construction. However, Eric’s heart remained in his hometown Laguna Beach, and after his return, he focused on full home remodels and additions. This experience further honed his project management skills, understanding city code requirements, obtaining permits, and scheduling inspections. Combining all of these elements, RCGC brings great value to its clients as custom home builder.

In recent years, Eric saw a need in the industry for a different approach in construction management and therefore founded RCGC Construction to fill that void. RCGC Construction is founded on the principles of customer service and customer satisfaction, above all. With RCGC Construction, Eric has combined his 25+ years of construction experience in Southern California, Utah, and Hawaii with a skilled in-house team in framing and carpentry.
